Care instructions
CARE ADVICE
Your new jewelry may be made of different materials and treated in different ways, requiring specific care methods. Please read the following guidelines carefully to ensure that your jewelry always retains its beauty and durability.
General use and care
Store your silver and gold jewelry in the box provided when not in use. Wipe your jewelry with a polishing cloth after each use to remove makeup, skin oil and other residue. To minimize wear, especially on gold and silver rings that are particularly exposed, you should take your jewelry off when bathing, washing dishes or gardening. Also, avoid sleeping with it on to protect it from unnecessary hard wear.
Silver
Use a special cleaner for silver jewelry or a silver care cloth to remove oxidation and dirt. Regular care will help maintain the shine of silver jewelry. Store silver jewelry in a tightly sealed bag or package to reduce contact with air and thereby reduce the risk of oxidation.
Gold
Gold jewelry usually requires less care than other metals. You can use a mild soap and warm water for cleaning and a soft cloth for polishing.
Gold-plated Silver
Gold plated jewelry should avoid direct contact with water and moisture as this can affect the coating. Use a dry cloth for cleaning and polishing.
Oxidized Silver
The black oxidation is a surface treatment that wears away over time, revealing more of the silver.
Pearls
Pearls are sensitive to chemicals, so avoid contact with cosmetics, perfumes and chemical cleaners. Gently wipe the pearls with a damp cloth after each use to remove dirt and sweat. Pearls are best kept in a jewelry box, protected from direct sunlight and moisture. The color of the pearls may change over time and deviate slightly from the original color.
Gemstone
Regularly check that gemstones are properly mounted to ensure they are not loose. Gemstones can lose their luster due to dirt stuck to the stone, which can be gently cleaned with a soft toothbrush, detergent or warm water.
